My god I hate Kira in the ZAFT uniform, he looks awful. Put your Orb uniform back on you silly man. Toumarie, I love the
picture, Cagalli has such a cute top on. Athrun's bangs are a little oddly highlighted, but I only noticed after a few
minutes oggling the loving looks you portrayed. Great job!
I love Sky's work, he really is wonderful. Athrun looks so sad, I think he wishes Cagalli was hugging him instead of a
panda. But he has cute lions. Maybe he's feeling too shy to go over and hug Cagalli in front of Kira and Lacus? Ah well,
he'll get his chance.

I liked it for the most part but was rather disappointed by the large amount of Lacus' face, instead of say Cagalli and
Athrun's. Oh well, it was quite clearly for the two couples, and the Asucaga drawing is a lot better than the KL one.

AS far as I can tell Athrun is saying Wahhh, the same as Cagalli! And Cagalli's attention is elsewhere. Haven't figured out why her attention is elsewhere yet. I think she sees something, cause she says "asatte" which I think means over there. But don't quote me on that.
I know it's completely irrational, but I can't help feeling that people who say meyrin and Athrun are a couple, or could possibly be a couple in any way shape or form, are basically saying the equivalent of "I don't believe in gravity".
In less crazy news, I love those pictures. I wonder why Athrun is yelling at Cagalli... I would think he'd be running to
hug her or something. Is he mad she's eating a popsicle?

I like seeing Athrun in the Orb uniform, but Kira looks awful in the ZAFT uniform. He should stay in the Orb uniform, it
suits him better. But they did establish that he left Cagalli and Orb for ZAFT, so I guess it's appropriate that he's in
the ZAFT uniform.
But find the way was from Seed, so it would make sense that it's about SEED. I have high hopes for the new picture of
Athrun and Cagalli.
In other news, Sky always makes amazing Asucaga artwork.
I'm surprised Dorothy Catelonia's eyebrows didn't make the list.
As for people who think Meyrin is better for Athrun, that makes no sense. None at all. Do they ever even have a meaningful conversation? Athrun never looks at her the way he looks at Cagalli. No sense.... I've already ranted about this so many times..... I don't think my mental well being or my faith in humanity can take another round of it just yet.
The three small bits on the left are Meer, Lacus and Meirin. From the left it's Kira, then Cagalli, then Durindal. I'm not sure about the remaining two. But Kira and Cagalli are largest.
I'd kill to know what the whole thing says.
Lacus is getting uncomfortably close to Cagalli in ranking....... I don't like that at all. So tired of Lacus. So, so tired.
I forgot to mention how grateful I am to bored, and everyone for keeping me informed about Asucaga, or supplying me pictures that almost make me drool, they're so wonderful. And at the same time keep me mad about Asucaga's treatment during destiny. That's right, destiny. It doesn't even get a capital letter.
I especially love that fukuda (he doesn't get a capital letter yet either) included that scene, it seems he has been working to redeem himself. Well, those two scenes. I wish he'd put out another Asucaga amv, although he probably won't. But I think Find the Way's lyrics can describe Asucaga's relationship almost the whole way through. Is that wishful thinking on my part? I might be clouded by Asucaga, does anyone see another possible interpretation? I can see it as also applying to pretty much all of Seed and destiny..... I really do wonder about that one.
Why do neither Kira nor Athrun have nipples? Just thought I'd ask.

I have all three seed club books, I'll scan the cinderella arc..... if I remember. As for that scan with the line crossed out going to Cagalli, I have a completely different version of that scan where is shows that Meyrin is one way towards Athrun. I'll see if I can dig it up. And as for the wikipedia page, that information is wrong, as someone else(too lazy to check) said, Athrun is an Orb Admiral at the end, Kira is the one who defected (booooo, he should stay in Orb with Cagalli. I also think that the Orb uniform looks much better on him. But that's just me.)
I can't think of anything else, but I'm going crazy from lack of Asucaga. Loopy loopy loo.

Ah, the reasons I don't like Lacus are several people have already mentioned. For one, she is a very selfish person, and
two, she never makes a single mistake. When she is on the archangel, she wears whatever the heck she wants instead of an
Orb uniform. For me that represents selfishness, and a little bit of cowardice. There's a reason I'm not in the armed
services of my country, besides being very medicated. It's because, to wear a uniform is a very heavy
burden/responsibility, and I do not think I could handle it. Cagalli wears an Orb uniform, and her representative
uniform. She carries a heavy weight with her, and in my eyes, her putting on her military uniform, and then switching to
the representative uniform, shows great strength. Even more so, her decision to stay in Orb while everyone else went to
space, even though it clearly was a painful decision, shows her inner strength, and her strong will. She accepted that
she made a lot of mistakes, and she grew from those experiences. Destiny still messed her up pretty bad, and
unrealistically for her character, but I understand a little bit.
At the beginning of Destiny she was already, at age 18, the head representative of a country that had just come out, and
been devastated by war. I'm going to go ahead and guess that she had been the chief representative for at least a year,
maybe more. During that time, Athrun was healing from the war, as was Kira, who was being taken care of by Lacus.
Cagalli and Athrun had to hide their relationship, and since Cagalli was so busy with Orb, neither she nor Athrun
properly healed. So, while hiding her relationship with Athrun, she was being told over and over again that she was a
naive idealist, and that she was ruining the country, etc etc. So Athrun discovers that people are doing crazy shit in
his father's name, and the unhealed wounds opened up. Cagalli, who is already in a fragile state as well, gets verbally
assaulted by Shinn, which was pretty much pushing her head underwater when she is already drowning.
So, Athrun decides to go to PLANTS, leaving Cagalli. But he did propose right before he left, as a promise that he would come back and marry her. SO Athrun is gone, and with him, her final support. Shinn berates her a bit more, and Cagalli is feeling useless, and that she is destroying her country, which is just being reinforced by Unata, Yuuna, and all those ugly old men. So Yuuna convinces her in her fragile state, that marrying him would be best for Orb, and also best for Athrun. He convinces her that she is making Athrun unhappy, holding him back.
I still think Destiny is crap, but that's how I understand what Cagalli and Athrun were going through.
It was easy for Kira and Lacus to be strong, they had been living peacefully in an orphanage for two years, away from
politics.
Lacus is a flat character, and there is no character growth. She never makes a single mistake, which is I think what bothers me most. I guess I find it highly unrealistic that Lacus was made a member of the PLANT council. She was a singer, not a politician. And to stave of arguments about Cagalli, she was undoubtedly trained since she was a small child to take over Orb. She had a very tumultuous time during the war, and she is a very impulsive, brash, passionate person. But once she gets that under control, and uses it her advantage, i think she'll be an amazing leader. Lacus' father was the chairman, but remember, that was an elected position, not one that Lacus would be taking over.
Another thing, and this is a bit petty on my part, is that there are WAY too many Lacus figurines. There's one for every damn dress she wears, in multiple poses. I want multiple figures for Cagalli in a number of her outfits. But that's the huge Cagalli fan in me.
@k4ede I agree, Cagalli looks so much more gorgeous than Lacus when she occasionally wears dresses, often under
coercion. And Kira does acknowledge on several occasions how great Cagalli looks in a dress. When Kira and Lacus get
married, I think Cagalli might outshine Lacus. Cagalli even has a more vibrant smile. At the end of episode 24, when
Kira comes for her, that smile..... gorgeous.
I know Kira and Lacus are supposed to be the two main characters, but it always seemed to me that it was Kira and
Cagalli, since so much time was spent on showing how they grew throughout the series.
@ 1234567890qaz I agree, that is probably the reason that he didn't give her a pet. Although if he did give her a
mechanical pet, you know, to replace the hamster, I think it would be a crab. I have had this thought in my head that he
would make her a bunch of crabs, of all different sizes, and would have them wandering around the dining room and on the
table.
@k4ede (again) Where can i read about this hamster? Although, because of PiggyHoHo's chibi town, I associate hamsters
with Stellar.
Additional side note. Any one every notice that Riza Hawkeye and Cagalli have pretty much the same coloring? You know, aside from the fact that Hawkeye has a large chest.

All those reasons make sense to me. He used tori and haro because he couldn't be with people. I felt that Haro was more
of a "she's my fiancee, so I suppose I should make her presents"
I dislike Lacus for the same reasons. Especially that she is the ideal female figure for Japanese society, which is very
much male dominated and female submissive. It also bothers me that she has a figure for all of her outfits, where as
Cagalli does not. There's even a best of Lacus figure set, which granted does contain Meer (for some reason I like Meer,
even though she's bats**t crazy). Then there's a set for the Hawke sisters. I just want a set for Cagalli. There are
many outfits that there aren't figures for. But I guess this is just the ramblings of someone(me) who has entirely too
much time on her hands.
But I think Cagalli is pretty popular in Japan, I find it difficult to find some of the figures. Maybe I'm not looking
hard enough?

In that case, why do you guys think that Athrun never made a mechanical pet for Cagalli? Do you think it was because he was with her, so he didn't have to have a mechanical pet in his place?

I should have joined a long time ago, but I was shy. Or lazy. Anywho, ihave been in love with the Asucaga pairing ever
since I first saw Gundam Seed a year and a half ago. Yes, I know I'm behind the times, but I was probably
asleep.
I have a quick question though. It doesn't entirely relate to Asucaga but it does relate to Cagalli. Why is a person as
boring and useless as Lacus repeatedly get ranked number 1 for popularity over the ass kicking Cagalli?
Like all of you lovely people, I am waiting impatiently for news about the movie, and am hoping the new AMCs will be
full of Asucaga moments. I watched Kimi wa boku ni niteiru.......... I was bored for most of it, and kept waiting for
Cagalli and Athrun to be together.
Another thing that always kind of bothered me is the Final Plus scene where Kira and Lacus run to each other. They had
barely been separated. The scene would have made a MUCH bigger impact had it been between Athrun and Cagalli. They had
been torn apart by war, briefly reunited, and then Athrun and the others fly to space, leaving Cagalli alone. Their
reunion would have made a much bigger impact, and quite frankly made more sense.
Just some thoughts to get the ball rolling. I don't think they're against forum rules, if they are I'm sorry.
